![]() ![]() Instead of seeing 10% at the end of the day I would see 12%. but it was pretty marginal in my opinion. following the advice of the articles did yield fruit. ![]() So eventually I disregarded all the articles and turned everything back on and enjoyed the phone with reckless abandon to the detriment of the battery life. and it was just making the experience pretty annoying. had to be toggling the WiFi on and off every time I needed it. and most certainly could not see a thing outdoors. I had to turn down the brightness, so I couldn't appreciate the wonderful screen. I tried the suggestions of the articles, but the phone seemed to have lost all of what made the experience worthwhile. #SNAPDRAGON BATTERY GURU APP REVIEW UPDATE#Most of them encouraged turning off this, that and the other to extend battery life, using less widgets that update periodically, turning off NFC (which is honestly warranted since most people don't use it really), WiFi, data service, and a whole host of other things. enjoyed the stock experience just fine, outside of the battery life issue. you never know what can happen right? That led me to reading several articles written by people who like me. but I don't like seeing the battery on red before I get home. So due to my cowardice I embarked on a seemingly endless quest to find ways to extend battery life on the stock rom and kernel. I am aware though that rooting is a thing, and have actually looked up ways to do it, to get a kernel that's more battery friendly (like the Franco kernel I see being touted as the best one quite a few places online), but i'm still not quite ready to take the plunge. #SNAPDRAGON BATTERY GURU APP REVIEW FULL#this is actually my first android device I have owned and used full time.Īs such i'm mostly a newbie to everything. Now let me preface anything else I write here by saying, I am no expert on android devices. and from that time till the end of the day when I get home around 6-ish, 7-ish, the phone doesn't get another charge usually. On an average day, I would get up from about 6.15a.m. but more often than not I end up cutting it really close to dying (about 10%) before I actually get home in a regular day. We all know that though it's a really nice phone it doesn't have really nice battery life. ![]()
